Experience
I was very fond of reading since my early childhood. When I was in 3rd grade, I had already finished reading many books like ‘Shahab Nama’, Dastan-e-Ameer Hamza, Alif Laila etc. In 1987, when I was in 5th grade I had been selected for an international level debate competition. I won the competition as well as awards and a hefty cash prize. I bought a jeep with the prize money and asked my cousin to drive me back on it. When I came back to my village, I found out that I had been expelled from my school for being short on attendance due to the debating event. Despite numerous insist, the school prinicpal didn't take me back. I was very discouraged and decided to leave studies permanently. I left education but continued my interest of reading books, traveling to different places, sports etc. I spent much of my time in these activities. After a couple of years, my cousin got myself privately registered for Matric exams though I didn’t know about it. When the date sheet came out, I surprisingly came to know that I was going to appear in exams. I didn’t even know about the subjects. In the meantime, I didn’t join any school or tuition center. I was going to appear in matric exams without attending any class after 5th grade.
However, I prepared day and night and comprised on my sleep, sports and reading. I wasn’t expecting that I’ll pass the exams, but when the result was out, I was shocked and surprised to see that I had scored the highest in the entire district. I told my cousin that this cannot be me and that Swat Education Board may have confused my result with someone else. To reassure my doubt, we went to Swat to tell the board that they handed me someone else’s result. However, after checking it a number of times, they confirmed it was me. To my surprise, I also found out about being the only one to score first division that year.
This wonder brought me back to formal education and after a lot of struggle, I succeeded to get into a college. I stood topper throughout my years in college. After that, I appeared for ISSB and cleared it. I went to PMA and realized, this is not for me.
After quitting PMA,In meantime, I went Nepal for a quiz competition by SAARC which I won. I was the first and only from Pakistan who won the competition.
After that I came back to what I loved, Literature. I took admission in Peshawar University. When I was having my viva, my vice chancellor called me up in his office and offered me to teach in university of Peshawar. Since then, I visited more than 72 countries around that world. From London to New York, Brazil to Malysia, Australia to Antartica. I am also an IVLP fellow and worked with both Pakistani and US government. A couple of years ago, I met Barack Obama in his office as well. In my life, I only aimed and achieved and I am really thankful to Allah for giving me this intelligence. From designing logo of University of Chitral and making it a reality, from being a ball thrower in Polo to introducing changes in Microsoft Office, there hasn't been anything that I could not achieve. Now, at this age of my life, I only have the hobbies of cooking, eating and helping others to achieve their dream. I’m thankful to Allah that he gifted me with the intelligence and a lot of talent which I have only been using to help and teach others.
